But it doesn't end there. After the toast, the cork is never discarded. There's a clear, simple, yet meaningful rule:
the cork must be tossed into the Taverna's cellar, through an opening visible in the main hall, overlooking the venue's ancient foundations.

It's a symbolic gesture, a way to "seal" that joyful moment within the stones of history. Once the cork falls down there, it stays forever, as if to say: "I was here, I experienced this happiness, and I left a mark."

Over time, the cellar has filled with hundreds of corks, each carrying its own story, toast, and memory.
